Project Overview
Joseph, Hollander & Craft (JHC) is a respected Heartland law firm with a strong reputation, but a dated visual identity and a website that no longer reflected the firm’s professionalism. For this design sprint, I was given a high-level brief to rebrand the firm and create a modernized landing page.
The sprint goal: ideate quickly, explore multiple directions, make fast decisions, and deliver a functional, high-fidelity landing page prototype within one week.
This sprint allowed me to demonstrate how I work under time constraints, handle ambiguity, and turn loosely defined goals into a polished, strategic outcome.

Visual clutter with too many elements competing

Outdated logo and limited scalability

Lacked a cohesive visual system
Sketching
I sketched multiple directions in one session:
•
Other firm's logos for reference
•
Modern concepts using JHC
•
Geometric icon ideas inspired by law-related motifs
•
Simplified typography explorations
Decision Making
Within the sprint constraint, I chose multiple concepts based on:
•
Scalability
•
Visual Balance
•
Ability to pair cleanly with modern typography
•
Professional tone
Final Logo
I translate my chosen sketch into a refined vector icon and wordmark
Brand Guidelines (Sprint Version)
I created a lightweight system with the goal of creating enough structure to build fast while maintaining consistency.
Wireframes (Sketches for Fast Iteration)
I created loose wireframes focusing on:
•
Clean, readable structure
•
Clear sections: How We Help, Our Values, Attorneys, Contact
•
Strong hierarchy and spacing
High-Fidelity Design
Converted wireframes into polished UI:
•
Modern hero section with subtle background video
•
Defined brand voice and typography
•
Gold accents used intentionally for hierarchy
•
Simplified content blocks
•
Clear calls to action
Prototype
Built a limited prototype in Figma showcasing layout behavior and interaction intent. Then expanded on that prototype in Framer.
